One of the biggest global architecture groups with 150 agencies around the world, AIA Life Designers is know for its seamless signature process between architects and engineers.
The group tasked us with the complete re-engineering of their internal networking app.
We came up with an entirely new UI approach augmented by social networking elements.
Despite the huge constraints of an extremely diverse hardware environment, ranging from IE9-limited PCs to the most cutting edge Microsoft touch devices, we successfully transformed this critical tool to build a robust, unified and customizeable experience.

The navigation system we came up with allows for intuitive horizontal scrolling to present pages with high data density.
Blur and parallax effects are applied to the tiles, which also turn over to save space and increase the functional richness without sacrificing legibility. We explored this idea of depth under the flat surface interactive elements and pushed its potential each time a bit further to design file viewers, administration panels, charts and contact lists.
We designed a full-vector, pixel-perfect glyph set and relied on SVG shapes for the UI color change function to seamlessly interpret them.
